Hello!
I’m Gianna (she/her).
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, PC013343) and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC, 22-119) with over 7 years of experience.
My approach in therapy—and, well, life—is empowering, authentic, and dynamic. I use a combination of parts work, mindfulness, DBT techniques, motivational interviewing, and somatic techniques. This means I’ll be laid-back and conversational, while also getting to know each part of you, giving you tools and resources, and helping you gain clarity.
When you work with me, you're getting a therapist who listens deeply and responds honestly. I won't just sit back and nod—I'll help you notice patterns, offer insight and education, and stay alongside you in this journey. You won't be judged, but you may be challenged. Therapy with me isn't stuffy or formal. It's real, supportive, and sometimes playful. Sure, sometimes I say, “And how does that make you feel?” but we'll probably both laugh. I’m a therapist because I’ve lived through a lot of the mess myself: chronic illness, disordered eating, wellness and diet culture, trauma, and complicated relational dynamics.
I highly value the mind-body connection, and the understanding that our mental health is shaped by the environments and oppressive systems around us. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, engaging, strengths-based, and I want you to walk away from your sessions with something useful to you. I may give you resources to explore outside of your session, including reading material, apps, and coping skills.
I am a HAES (health at every size)-aligned, fat positive, sex positive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician. I value and respect the varied cultural, spiritual, and relational identities one might encompass. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric, medical hospital, PHP (partial hospitalization), and IOP (intensive outpatient) settings.
In my free time I love roller skating, film photography, pulling tarot cards, and spending time with my cats.
