My Approach

Art therapy offers a unique and engaging way to explore your emotions, understand yourself, and resolve inner conflicts using art-making in your therapy session.

I provide individual art therapy for teens and adults. If you choose to explore art therapy, it may include making art during our therapy sessions. If attending virtually, this would be done with anything you have at home—you do not need any fancy art materials to participate in and benefit from art therapy.

As an art therapist, I carefully choose the art therapy you engage in depending on your treatment goals and needs. I may provide you with suggestions on a type of image to create. A prompt like this is usually open-ended and has a lot for room for you to creatively interpret it on your own. I may also ask you questions about your artwork to help you explore additional details and meaning. Read some commonly asked questions about art therapy here.

Healing isn't about becoming someone new—it's about reconnecting with yourself. At Created Self Therapy, I provide a supportive space for teens and adults ages 13 to 40. Whether you are facing an eating disorder, or feeling down, nervous, or stressed, your story and your healing matters. Using a blend of talk therapy and art therapy, I help you explore emotions, gain the skills to cope with them, build self-trust, gain clarity, and create a life worth living.
