Support for Loved Ones
Caring for a loved one with an eating disorder can greatly impact your own wellbeing. Signs of caregiver burnout when caring for someone with an eating disorder can include:

- Feeling down or hopeless
- Withdrawing from your normal activities
- Decreased empathy towards your loved one with an eating disorder
- Resentment towards your loved one
- Sense of helplessness
- Neglecting your own self care
My Approach

You matter, too.
Having a loved one who has an eating disorder can be hard and may mean that you are providing a lot of emotional care. You might be feeling unsure how to support them—or yourself. You might also have conflicting demands between your loved one, your job, and your other relationships. All of this combined with uncertainty around how much you are actually helping can result in caregiver burnout.
I provide individual therapy to help you practice the self-care you need during this time. You can’t pour from an empty cup. You deserve a place where you can process the ups and downs of loving someone who has an eating disorder in a safe, supportive space while receiving guidance along the way.
