Therapy for Anxiety

Anxiety can prevent you from feeling present in your life. Symptoms may include:

Woman sitting alone, looking troubled, with her hair disheveled.
  • Feeling "on edge" and having difficulty resting
  • Having health issues your doctor cannot explain, like indigestion
  • Noticing tension in your body, like clenching your jaw or neck, or experiencing tension headaches
  • Feeling like you cannot stop or control your worrying. This can sometimes result in anxiety attacks
  • Having trouble falling or staying asleep
  • Avoiding things that make you nervous

Anxiety can prevent you from getting the most out of your life.

Racing thoughts, shortness of breath, and fast heart rate can all be signs of anxiety. If we lived 100,000 years ago, these would have helped us run from a predator and stay alert. Now, needing to manage these symptoms while taking care of our daily responsibilities can feel like a hinderance more than anything.

While it's important you feel seen and heard, I will also empower you with tools and techniques to help you manage your anxiety. I use a combination of mindfulness, grounding, parts work, somatic techniques, and CBT techniques to help you recognize your anxious thoughts and feel more grounded.
